Period property with modern extension
This project involved installation of multiroom music and video across 9 rooms of a large period property with coverted barn extension. The speakers were chosen to compliment the decorative style of different rooms. For example in the drawing room floorstanding Kef speakers were used, in the conservatory, and kitchen wall-mounted Bose speakers were fitted, and in the cinema room an ArtCoustic suite was installed.
A discrete AV cupboard housed all the audio-visual equipment, including an Onkyo cinema amplifier, ArtCoustic cinema power amp, Sky+HD boxes, DVD media server, Sonos music system and network storage device. The cinema room featured a Lutron GraffikEyeQS controlling lights and blinds. The Philips Pronto controller commands the cinema projector screen to descend from behind a curtain pelmet when in use to give a true cinematic feel.
Elsewhere in the property Rako lighting control was used along with additional Sonos music players in the bedrooms, which can be simply controlled from the customer's iPhones.
